Cycling on the Veluwe
As a hotel guest of Van der Valk Hotel Apeldoorn - de Cantharel, you are within minutes on the Veluwe. Here you can enjoy nature endlessly. On foot, with your own bike or with one of our rental bikes. You are not allowed to use our car park if you are not a hotel guest.
Bike rental
The Veluwe is the cycling region of the Netherlands! The beautiful nature with forests, heathland and sand drifts are a delight for every cyclist. We rent the following bikes at 't Buitenhuisje from 9am - 6pm:
We advise you to reserve the bikes directly with your online booking due to high demand. If you prefer to reserve a bike by phone, please call the hotel reception on 055-5414455.
Bicycle storage
We have a locked bicycle shed to park your bike. Storing your bicycle in our bicycle shed is at your own risk.
Cycle Junction Network
Together with IVN Apeldoorn and Route.nl, the hotel has put together a number of beautiful cycling tours departing from the hotel. The routes are all based on the cycling junction network and therefore very easy to use. At 't Buitenhuisje, we are also happy to give you advice on beautiful routes in the area.
Maps
A detailed cycling map, with special routes in different distances, is available for free at 't Buitenhuisje. The routes all depart from the hotel and take you through the most beautiful spots of the Veluwe.
