Dog Off-Leash Area

A stay at Van der Valk Hotel Apeldoorn – De Cantharel is also a treat for your dog. From the hotel you can walk straight into the forest, and in the surrounding area there are several off-leash zones where dogs can run and play freely all year round.

Het Leesten (Ugchelen)

A 10-hectare fully fenced dog forest on the Ugchelse Berg. Dogs can run safely, climb, and play. There is also the “Natte Neuzenroute” (3–4 km), where dogs are allowed off-leash outside the fenced area as long as they remain under control. Free parking at the Visitor Centre ’t Leesten, Hoenderloseweg 191.

Julianatoren Dog Forest (Berg en Bos)

South of the Julianatoren amusement park lies a partly fenced off-leash area in Berg en Bos, popular with local dog owners. Ideal for social dogs. There is no water here, so be sure to bring some on warm days. Free parking at Juniperlaan, Amersfoortseweg, or Soerenseweg.

Asselsestraat

At the start of the Asselsepad, you will find a fully fenced area where dogs can play safely off-leash. On weekdays it is often busy with dog walking services, so there are always plenty of playmates. Free parking along the Asselsestraat.

Orderbos

Near the sports fields in the Orderbos there is an off-leash area of about 23 hectares. Small, but perfect for a short walk. In the rest of the forest dogs must be kept on a lead. Free parking at De Kleiberg or Asselsestraat.
