De Boswachter

De Boswachter is currently undergoing a complete renovation. The photos shown are impressions of the atmosphere and provide an idea of the future interior and appearance. Behind the scenes, we are working on an atmospheric and luxurious family retreat where comfort, nature, and adventure come together for young and old. 

Tucked away among the trees, on the edge of the grounds of Van der Valk Hotel Apeldoorn – de Cantharel, lies De Boswachter. A delightful private spot amidst the greenery, where you can enjoy the outdoors together, the tranquility of the Veluwe, and plenty of space to do as you please. With a cozy living room, comfortable bedrooms, and a wood-burning stove for colder days, it is just as pleasant inside as outside. And for the children? They won't be bored for a moment here. A true play paradise awaits in the attic, entirely in the spirit of the forest. Think natural materials, cozy hiding places, and plenty of room to climb, play, and explore. 

There is also plenty to experience outside. The large garden will become a place where children can romp around, go on adventures, and invent their own games. Meanwhile, the parents enjoy a good glass of wine, a relaxing moment in the wonderfully heated pool in the garden, and the tranquility of the green surroundings. And when everyone comes back inside after a day of playing outside, there is plenty of room to settle down comfortably together. 

De Boswachter will be a place where parents truly unwind and children experience the most wonderful adventures. A special stay where the Veluwe is palpable both inside and out. The photos are an impression of the atmosphere. 

Included in the room rate: 
* Daily well-stocked fridge with wine, beer, and soft drinks (fixed selection, redeemable at the shop at the hotel reception) 
* Basket of firewood 
* Use of the hotel's wellness and fitness facilities (swimwear required) 

Excluded from the room rate and available for additional booking: 
* Tourist tax 
* Dinner at Huisje James or de Cantharel (subject to availability) 
* Bicycle rental (standard, e-bike, MTB) 
* Breakfast basket delivered to De Boswachter 

Conditions: 
* A maximum of 1 extra folding bed can be added. 
* Room service is not available. 
* Different cancellation conditions apply for stays of 3 nights or longer. Free cancellation is possible up to 1 week before arrival. Within one week, 70% of the reservation value will be charged. For cancellations within 24 hours before arrival, the full room rate will be charged.
